What to expect
We offer an 8 week term of postnatal yoga to ease you back into movement after the birth of your baby and give you the chance to connect with likeminded mummas.  You can commence 6 weeks after a vaginal birth or 8-10 weeks after a caesarean birth (following clearance from your GP/OB/Physio).

Babies
Your bubs are more than welcome to join you in these classes! Whether they sit/lie happily watching you whilst you move, sleep in their capsule/pram or you can incorporate them into most of the poses which is a nice way to bond with bub whilst doing something for yourself. It is also completely fine to feed, change or move around if you need to settle your bub.

Sharing
We begin each week with the opportunity to share something about your motherhood journey or anything that has happened in your week. There is so much power in sharing our experiences and knowing that you can relate to others who are also on the same journey.

Movement and breath
Each class will be slightly different with a focus that relates to motherhood (eg. opening tight shoulders from feeding). There will be gentle work to help strengthen pelvic floor muscles and safe abdominal exercises to target weakened muscles. Breath will be a consistent part of the class to keep us grounded and calm, knowing that a breath practice can help us get through the challenging times.

Connection

As beneficial as the movement and stretches are, these classes are also a great opportunity to get out of the house and meet other new mums! We often spend many hours just with our babies as a new mum, and as much as we love them, connecting with a community of likeminded women can make the motherhood journey so much more joyful.
